Clynelish whisky is characterised by its distinctive waxiness, fruity notes and a subtle hint of sea salt, which is attributable to the distillery’s coastal location. The Clynelish 14 Year Old offers aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, honey and a warming spiciness, which lead into a long, slightly smoky finish.

The Clynelish distillery was founded in 1819 in the Scottish Highlands and quickly made a name for itself with its unique whiskies. Originally based in Brora, the distillery was moved to its current location and has been producing single malts that are appreciated worldwide ever since. Its proximity to the coast gives Clynelish whisky its characteristic maritime notes, making it a real highlight among Highland whiskies.

Clynelish whisky is distilled using water from the nearby Clynemilton Burn, which is filtered through layers of sandstone and Granit, giving the whisky its smooth, slightly waxy texture. The distillery combines traditional methods with state-of-the-art technology to create its characteristic aromas and distinctive flavour.
