Aha Toro Tequila
Tequila is considered the Mexican national spirit par excellence. In every bar and restaurant, you will find several representatives behind the counter.
Tequila is made exclusively from the juice of the blue Weber agave. The juice is mashed, distilled and then either sold clear, as a so-called “Blanco”, or matured in wooden barrels. The latter are then offered either as “Reposado”, which is aged for at least 2 months, as “Añejo”, which is aged for at least 1 year, or as “Extra Añejo”, which must be aged in the barrel for at least 3 years. This is the same as for all brown spirits. The longer the tequila matures, the rounder and more balanced it becomes.
The handmade tequila from “Aha Toro” deserves a special mention. Aha Toro tequila is produced in small quantities in a tiny little village called Jesus Maria in the state of Jalisco for the company “Destilados Olé”. We stock this high-quality tequila in three versions. For connoisseurs of fresh and sparkling tequilas, we recommend the “Aha Toro Blanco”. This is also perfect for delicious cocktails. For friends of a more sedate tequila enjoyment, we have the “Aha Toro Reposado” and the “Aha Toro Añejo” in our range. Both have been matured in oak barrels to better harmonize the taste.
