Flor de Caña is a sustainably produced rum that has been family-owned since 1890. The distillery was founded in 1875 by Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa, an adventurer from Italy, at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano in Nicaragua. The volcanic environment offers ideal conditions for rum production, with the fertility of the soil, the mineral-rich water and the hot climate shaping the smooth, unique taste of the rum.
Today, Flor de Caña stands for a greener future and is Fair Trade certified. The four-year-old premium rum contains no sugar, matures naturally without artificial additives and is distilled entirely using renewable energy. It is also KOSHER-certified. With five generations of family history, Flor de Caña combines tradition and sustainability and offers a medium-bodied rum with a long, smooth finish that lingers on the palate.
