Der Laphroaig Lore ist ein außergewöhnlicher Single Malt Whisky von der schottischen Insel Islay, der die traditionsreiche Geschichte der Brennerei in jedem Schluck widerspiegelt. Benannt nach dem gälischen Wort für „Überlieferung“, vereint dieser Whisky das Wissen und die Handwerkskunst mehrerer Generationen von Master Blendern. Sein vielschichtiges Aroma entsteht durch die Reifung in fünf verschiedenen Fassarten, die eine harmonische Balance zwischen Torfrauch, Süße und Würze schaffen.
Durch die Verwendung von Quarter Casks aus dem 19. Jahrhundert erhält der Laphroaig Lore eine samtige Textur und eine intensive Tiefe. Oloroso-Sherry-Butts verleihen ihm eine fruchtige Süße, während Ex-Bourbon-Fässer eine feine Vanillenote beisteuern. Die Kombination von Whiskys mit einem Alter zwischen sieben und 21 Jahren sorgt für eine beeindruckende Komplexität – von kräftig-rauchig bis elegant-sanft. Das Ergebnis ist ein vielschichtiger Islay-Whisky, der die typische Torfigkeit von Laphroaig mit einer reichhaltigen Geschmacksstruktur verbindet.

Farbe: Tiefes Bernstein mit goldenen Reflexen.
Nase: Intensiver Torfrauch, begleitet von dunkler Schokolade, getrockneten Früchten und würzigen Eichennoten.
Geschmack: Kräftiger Rauch mit einer feinen Balance aus süßem Karamell, reifen Rosinen, maritimen Anklängen und einer Spur von gerösteten Nüssen.
Abgang: Lang und intensiv mit anhaltendem Rauch, subtiler Würze und einer sanften Sherry-Süße.
Er entfaltet sein volles Aroma am besten pur oder mit ein paar Tropfen Wasser, um die verschiedenen Nuancen noch stärker hervorzuheben. Dieser Single Malt harmoniert besonders gut mit kräftigen Käsesorten wie Roquefort oder Cheddar sowie dunkler Schokolade mit hohem Kakaoanteil.
