The Kavalan Distillery in Taiwan, which was founded in 2005 by T.T. Lee, the president of the Taiwanese food conglomerate King Car Group, combines tradition and innovation in this whisky. Lee had the dream of opening his own whisky distillery in Taiwan, and he chose the location of Yilan, a region south-east of the capital Taipei. An important reason for choosing this location is the excellent water quality, which is fed by the clear spring waters of Snow Mountain.
The Kavalan 15 year old whisky is the result of 15 years of patient maturation, which gives this fine drop a perfect taste.
