Dos Maderas PX 5+5 Years Old is an exceptional spirit drink from the Spanish brandy and sherry house Williams & Humbert, whose name - which translates as "two woods" - refers to the special ageing process. Made from a careful blend of rums from Barbados and Guyana, it undergoes a unique double maturation process that gives it its unmistakable character.
For the first five years, the spiced rum matures in American oak barrels in the Caribbean before being shipped to Jerez, Spain. There it is aged for a further five years in two different types of sherry cask, including Pedro Ximénez casks, in which it spends two years.
The result is a perfectly balanced spirit drink that combines both Caribbean exoticism and Spanish sherry tradition.
