The Glen Scotia distillery was founded in Campbeltown in 1832 and has had a rich tradition in whisky production ever since. One of their newer products is the Glen Scotia Double Cask, which is part of a new series from the distillery.
The Glen Scotia Double Cask is a classic Campbeltown malt, which gets its special note from maturing in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and first-fill bourbon casks. This choice of casks gives the whisky a multi-layered variety of aromas.
The use of traditional copper stills in the production of Glen Scotia Double Cask contributes to the characteristic fruit and spice flavors that Glen Scotia whiskies are known for.
