1975 begann Gérard Bertrand seine Weinlese im Château de Villemajou in den Corbières und entdeckte dort seine Leidenschaft für Wein. Über zwölf Jahre hinweg verfeinerte er seine Fähigkeiten neben seinem Vater Georges Bertrand, bis schließlich die vierte Generation das Erbe weiterführte. Nach dem tragischen Tod seines Vaters im Jahr 1987 übernahm Gérard Bertrand die Familienführung auf der Domaine de Villemajou und gründete die Weingesellschaft Gérard Bertrand. Die Gérard Bertrand Gruppe umfasst 16 Weingüter und 16 Schlösser entlang der Mittelmeerküste Frankreichs, die sich auf insgesamt 850 Hektar erstrecken. Ein Teil der von Hand geernteten Trauben reift in 225-l-Bordeaux-Fässern, während der andere Teil in Edelstahltanks gelagert wird.
Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Rouge ist eine Hommage an die mediterrane Kultur und Natur, eine meisterhafte Cuvée aus Syrah, Grenache und Mourvèdre. Die Trauben werden von Hand geerntet, wobei eine späte Weinlese zwischen Ende September und Mitte Oktober stattfindet. Dies sorgt für vollreife und konzentrierte Trauben, die optimale Aromen und eine intensive Farbe entfalten. Nach dem Abbeeren folgt eine Maischegärung über 15 bis 20 Tage in Edelstahltanks. Anschließend wird ein Teil des Weins für acht Monate in Barriques gelagert, wodurch er zusätzliche Tiefe und Komplexität erlangt.

Glänzendes Rubinrot im Glas. In der Nase komplex, elegant, mit Aromen von roten Früchten. Am Gaumen abgerundet, gut ausbalanciert, begleitet von roten, reifen Früchten und geschmolzenen Tanninen. Lang anhaltend im Abgang.
