Mortlach Distillery, founded in 1823, is one of the oldest and most renowned distilleries in Scotland's Speyside region. Known as "The Beast of Dufftown", Mortlach has made a name for itself with its uniquely complex and powerful single malts. The distillery uses an unusual 2.81-fold distillation process, which gives the whiskies their characteristic depth and complexity.
This Mortlach single malt whisky is part of Diageo's 2022 Special Release Series, which is themed "Elusive Expressions". This collection is dedicated to rare bottlings inspired by mythical creatures and brought to life through artful designs and fascinating stories. Each bottling is bottled at individual cask strength, without chill-filtration and without the addition of colorants.
