MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Years Old Peated is a masterfully composed blended malt bottling that combines the powerful smokiness of Islay with the elegant fruitiness of Speyside. Bottled at 46% vol. and non-chill-filtered, this peated whisky offers a deep, complex flavor profile that will delight both smoke lovers and fans of multi-layered sherry cask notes.
Crafted by GlenAllachie Distillers, under the direction of renowned Master Blender Billy Walker, this whisky combines carefully selected peated and unpeated single malts from Scotland that have been matured for at least 12 years. The casks consist of first-fill bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry and red wine casks, which give the whisky an impressive depth, balance and smoky elegance.
The name "Lum Reek" comes from an old Scottish saying "Lang may yer lum reek", which means "May your chimney smoke long" - a symbol of warmth, hospitality and good living.
