The Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 and is one of the oldest and most renowned whisky distilleries in Scotland. It is located in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland, making it the most northerly distillery in Scotland. Surrounded by rugged nature and stormy seas, Highland Park's whisky reflects the unique climatic conditions of the Orkney Islands. Today, the distillery belongs to The Edrington Group and produces around 2.5 million liters of whisky every year.
Highland Park 21 Year Old from 2020 is a masterful composition, matured in three different cask types and bottled at 46% by volume. The whisky was matured in sherry-matured first-fill casks made from European oak and ex-bourbon casks, which gives it its characteristic depth and complexity.
This limited edition was created from just 55 hand-picked casks, which were filled in November 1998. The result is an exceptional single malt that impresses with its elegant maturity and multi-layered aromas - a perfect example of Highland Park's craftsmanship.
