Villa Sandi is particularly famous for its Prosecco production. The grapes grow on the hilly landscapes of Valdobbiadene, where the microclimate and mineral-rich soils provide ideal conditions for cultivation. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand to ensure the best possible quality. Sustainability and environmental protection are at the forefront, which is underlined by modern techniques and numerous certifications.
The D.O.C.G. area of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene is a hilly area with calcareous soils, some of which are mixed with clay. These soils provide ideal conditions for Glera grapes, from which this Prosecco is made. After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press and the must is filled into temperature-controlled tanks.
The must is mixed with specially selected yeast cultures and fermented at 15-16°C to preserve the aromas. As soon as the desired alcohol and sugar content is reached, fermentation is stopped by cooling.
