Casa Herradura was founded in 1870 by Feliciano Romo in the Amatitan Valley, located in the Sierra Madre mountain range. In his search for a suitable place to produce a perfect tequila, he noticed the glitter of a horseshoe.
Feliciano saw it as a sign of good luck. This is how the name 'Tequila Herradura' came into being.
The Herradura Tequila Añejo is made from 100% agave and matures for two years in oak barrels.
