Description
SEDUCTIVO - born from a Styrian vision, created in Cartagena Colombia. The search for the "perfect rum" gave the Weizer Mario Reisenhofer the idea for a unique project with the Colombian rum producer Dictador.
There were some samples that had to be sent from Colombia to Styria to find the really perfect rum. When the rum finally lived up to its name (SEDUCTIVO = seductive, enchanting), Mario Reisenhofer developed the design of the bottle and the packaging. The result was a packaging in black and silver as a pictorial expression of the noble contents.
The SEDUCTIVO is also an exceptional rum from Dictador in terms of taste. Silky and perceptibly sweet, but still with all the well-known characteristics of a typical Dictador rum: delicate chocolate notes and aromatic tobacco aromas, but also caramel and dried fruit notes added over the long sherry maturing process. In the fragrance exotic spices, citrus notes and a fine almond and hazelnut scent are added.
The SEDUCTIVO was distilled in Cartagena in 1994. 70% of it was distilled in column distillation, 30% in Alambic Pot Stills. Ten of the most valuable barrels from the Dictador warehouse were personally selected by Hernan Parra for this limited special bottling, which by the way will only be available in Austria, and masterfully married together. As always with Dictador, subsequent sugaring was of course out of the question. By the way, only sherry barrels were used for bottling, in which the SEDUCTIVO was allowed to mature for a full 6 years. Before that the same rum spent 18 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. Therefore the SEDUCTIVO, like many Single Cask bottlings, is not a Solera rum, but has a real 24 years barrel maturity!
Tasting notes:
Colour: Deep and dark red-brown with golden reflections.
Nose: Citrus fruits, nougat, chocolate-orange, accents of coffee and delicately roasted hazelnuts
Taste: Soft sweetness, underlined by caramel, chocolate, aromatic dried fruit, cappuccino.
Finish: Very long and smooth, balanced, with spicy sweetness.

Ein geradlinieger Kerl - biegt sich weder nach links nach fruchtigen Noten oder künstlicher Süße noch nach rechts nach Karamell-, Toffee- oder Schokoladenoten, sondern ist einfach ein "straighter, klarer Rum" der zeigt wo er herkommt, mit klaren feinen Sherry-Holznoten. 24 Jahre Fasslagerung davon die letzten 6 Jahre in Ex-Sherryfässern zeigen sich hier. Eine kleine,leichte Restsüße mit einem Hauch von Karamell-, Vanille- & Schoko-Noten machen ihn zu einem echten Highlight! Nur mit teuren Single Casks vergleichbar. Habe ich auch schon mehrfach nachgekauft (wie soeben wieder).

kann die meinung vom kollegen unten nicht wirklich teilen. der ersteindruck in der nase kommt viel eher vom sherry-finish und sind für mich fruchtige töne - zwetschke und dörrobst z.b. - mit frischer vanille. dann kommt für mich noch viel schoko, exotikgewürz und röstkaffe am gaumen dazu. de facto ein echtes highlight, nur mit echt teuren single casks vergleichbar. habe ich auch schon 2x nachgekauft.

Top Dictador, wurde mir sehr empfohlen, leider steht am Anfang beim Nosing zu viel Fusel in der Nase, ansonsten Kaffee, Schokolade, Frucht vermute ich leicht. Ziehe definitiv die 2 XO Insolent und Perpetual vor!
