Description
Description
Spitz Jagertee 60% ABV is a traditional Austrian Jagertee speciality from S. Spitz, a long-established drinks manufacturer based in Upper Austria. Jagertee is closely associated with Austrian mountain hut and winter culture and is traditionally served as a hot drink. This high-proof speciality is a concentrate that is diluted with hot water before drinking. With a robust 60 per cent alcohol content and coming in a generous 1-litre bottle, Spitz Jagertee is particularly suitable for preparing several servings, making it a practical choice for the hospitality industry, après-ski, winter events or cosy evenings during the colder months.
Spitz Jagertee is a quintessentially Austrian classic, whose robust base only develops its true flavour when mixed with hot water. Thanks to its high alcohol content, the intensity can be individually adjusted via the mixing ratio, meaning that this Jagertee from Austria can be served both stronger and milder. The long-established company S. Spitz was founded as far back as 1857 and is now one of Austria’s leading producers of food and drink. With its blend of Austrian tradition, 60 per cent by volume and the generous 1-litre bottle, Spitz Jagertee is a classic spirits speciality, particularly for the winter, skiing and mountain hut season.
Tasting Note
Colour: Dark amber to brown.
Nose: Full-bodied and spicy with typical notes of tea, spices and spirits.
Taste: Intense and warming with spicy, slightly sweet accents and a characteristic Jagertee profile.
Finish: Warming and spicy with pleasant lingering notes of tea and spices.
Spitz Jagertee is traditionally diluted with hot water and served warm, with the mixing ratio adjustable depending on the desired intensity. The drink pairs particularly well with Kaiserschmarrn, apple strudel, yeast dumplings or other Austrian pastries. It can also be served with hearty mountain hut dishes and light snacks. It is traditionally enjoyed during après-ski, at Christmas markets, winter celebrations and cosy evenings in mountain huts.
